This offering is for a replica of a United States
Cavalry Sword

scabbard

). If this sword is to be used for re-enactments, please be aware that the handle opening is sized for a small man's hand and is not workable for those with large hands.
The sword is 27” long overall and is the type used by Union Cavalry enlisted troops. A 23½” blade length was ideal for hand to hand fighting that was the mainstay of the War. Careful attention to detail is evident in the sword from the brass hand guard to the leatherette wrapped wire handle.
Both the blade and scabbard are crafted from stainless steel making it a wonderful display sword that will maintain its appearance for many years to come.
